Family Law Issues including: Divorce, Paternity, Custody, Adoption and Guardianship of a Minor
Individuals with any of the above legal issues will meet with a Volunteer Attorney at a Neighborhood Legal Clinic for legal advice and counsel. The Volunteer Attorney will determine whether the case is appropriate for referral for additional pro bono assistance (based on volunteer availability; representation cannot be guaranteed).
Uncontested Divorce Workshop - Oʻahu only
The Uncontested Divorce Workshop covers cases in which both spouses agree to a divorce and also agree on the division of assets and debts, child support, custody, and visitation arrangements. Individuals wishing to sign up for the Workshop must first complete a Volunteer Legal Services Hawaiʻi intake application and meet with a Volunteer Attorney at a Neighborhood Legal Clinic.
Uncontested Guardianship Workshop - Oʻahu Only
The Uncontested Guardianship Workshop helps people who are seeking guardianship over a child or a disabled minor turning 18. The child’s parents and/or others legally responsible for the child’s welfare must agree to the guardianship. Individuals wishing to sign up for the Workshop must first complete a Volunteer Legal Services Hawaiʻi intake application and meet with a Volunteer Attorney at a Neighborhood Legal Clinic (based on volunteer availability; representation cannot be guaranteed).
